#MySundayPhoto – Twilight / Crépuscule

This photo was taken last Sunday.

We were driving back from the medieval village of Chalencon, Haute-Loire, France, when this breathtaking panorama came into view around one of the many bends on the D29 road. Brian nearly slammed on the brakes so I could jump out of the car and capture the amazing light bathing the rolling fields and volcanic domes of my native Haute-Loire.

On the right-hand side, the silhouetted keep of Roche-en-Régnier towers over the countryside, a familiar sight in the area since the 12th century.

One thing that my camera didn’t capture is the baltic temperature – winter is not quite over yet.
