Becoming a mermaid – a guest post for Rooted Wings
Earlier this year, the lovely Rachel, whose blog and business Rooted Wings is based in Yorkshire, UK, invited me to contribute a guest post to her upcoming series.
The prompt was to write about “a moment in your life that was pivotal in launching, reestablishing or deepening your connection to nature, and how this connection to the natural world impacts your life now.”
Becoming mermaid
The day, back in 2017, when I took the plunge in the Irish Sea immediately sprang to mind. Unbeknownst to me at the time, it was the beginning on an ongoing journey into reconnecting with myself and nature, and unexpectedly finding my pod along the way.
